From the 24th to the 25th of August, Brogdale Farm, the Home of the National Fruit Collection will be hosting its very own Cider Festival. The festival offers a diverse variety of entertainment with medieval re-enactment displays and live local musicians accompanying the experience of being able to taste and buy over 70 different types of Cider and Perry’s. Cider making demonstrations will be held while there are chances to develop the skills of being able to identify a variety of apple and pear ciders.
The festival offers something for everyone with Bouncy Castles and face painting for youngsters, and archery, falconry displays for the thrill seekers and cooking demonstrations for keen chefs. Food is provided in the form of a Hogroast, BBQ and a substantial food court and the Festival also gives the opportunity for budding fruit growers to receive plentiful advice.
